The Story Behind Moonflower
Creating funeral flowers felt like a natural extension of our work. A way to honour life’s most tender moments with the same creativity and respect we bring to weddings and celebrations.
As Violet & The Fox grew, families began to trust us with their farewells as well as their celebrations, and we felt drawn to support them more intentionally.
Moonflower was created from this part of our work, a dedicated space where we could offer gentle, thoughtful flowers for times of loss, crafted with the same care and intention that guide all of our floral designs.

MEET MEL
I’m Mel, the hands and heart behind Violet & The Fox and Moonflower.
My love for flowers began in the country, where childhood days were spent exploring creeks and wild gardens, discovering beauty in the small and natural. That sense of wonder still shapes my designs today - whimsical, organic, and deeply connected to nature.
With a background in visual merchandising and property styling, I see floral design as living art - a way to tell stories through texture, movement, and fragrance.
Each piece I create is guided by emotion and intention, designed to feel personal, meaningful, and in tune with the earth.
Beyond artistry, I believe in bringing ease and care to every experience. My role is to listen, guide, and craft something beautiful - so you can simply breathe, reflect, and feel.

We will send an email back confirming our availability and also some suggested options including shape, style, colour and price range.
You agree to our terms and conditions, make a booking and pay for the flowers in full.
The day of the funeral, know that your loved ones' flowers will be personal, memorable and one of a kind. We look after all of the communication with the funeral company or venue manager and organise delivery of your flowers so they are there before the service begins.
