MEET MEL
I’m Mel, the heart and hands behind Violet & The Fox and Moonflower.
I grew up in the country, surrounded by fields, creeks, and towering trees. My fondest memories are of wandering along my grandparents’ creek, collecting coloured rocks and imagining fairies among the moss and bracken. That sense of wonder still lives in my work today - each floral design carries a touch of whimsy and a garden-style beauty that feels as though it has grown into place naturally.
With a background in visual merchandising and property styling, creativity has always been my language. I approach floral design as living art - a composition of texture, fragrance, and movement that tells a story. Every arrangement is more than flowers; it’s a moment captured, a reflection of love and memory.
Beyond artistry, I believe the process should feel gentle and supportive. I take time to understand each family’s story, guiding them with care so the experience feels calm, meaningful, and easeful. My role is not just to create, but to comfort - ensuring the flowers express what words cannot.
